Carrier oils
In Aromatherapy, vegetable oils are referred to as carrier oils.
While vegetable oils carry the essential oils over the body they bring added benefits to the skin.
Apricot Kernel oil, for example is a good source of polyunsaturated fatty acids. It has a light texture making it very easily absorbed into the skin. The light texture of this oil makes it highly suitable for facial massage blends and also for the treatment of dry, mature, sensitive or inflamed skins.
Apricot Kernel oil is also great for using as a preventative against stretch marks during pregnancy.
